                1. Plain wooden shapes that you can buy from art shops.I have used Gold dust on the wings and white acrylic paint for the dresses and I have also used Gold leaf on the back,shoes and the hair.

                                            2. Add fabric for the shirts tying round the back.

                                       

                               3.Add a small hole carefully through and add a ring for hanging.

                                                                         All done.

Swan print

Fancied trying printing so here's my first go using lino.I found it quite a hard surface to carve so looking into different materials to use.Really enjoyable though.Think my family and friends will all be receiving a bag for Christmas!   

Through the glass

I caught this image whilst watching the rain and wind  blowing the leaves about through a window. The sun was just trying to break through and created such beautiful light.

HMS Victory

Had such a wonderful visit to the HMS Victory in Portsmouth for my son's birthday, thought I would share my photo's with you.

This amazing ship was Lord Nelson's flagship at the battle of Trafalgar and is 252 years old!  Amazing, and beautifully looked after, well worth a visit if you are ever in that part of the world.

Barn owl

Barn owl inflight inspired by watching one from my garden, such beautiful creatures, otherworldly. Unfortunately their numbers are in decline and we are at risk of losing them. More info www.barnowltrust.org.uk 

New work. I have used  Artisan oil paints on this which I really like they are a smooth oil paint that you can mix with water which is the best of both worlds for me.

Photo's of  a walk in my village to the windmill, the weather changed quite quickly and we watched the rain sweep over the sky in the distance whilst we were standing in sunlight, beautiful.

Low light makes for such interesting patterns through the trees this time of year.

Here's to a glorious season change.
